Homeless Health Care and Insurance
Homeless people have unique problems and needs. Without a permanent address it is hard for a homeless person to be contacted and to make full use of the social services that are available. This is an area of personal interest to us. Many cities have free clinics for the homeless. If a homeless person has a permanent disability they can possibly get on Social Security and they may be able to find a stable living arrangement. But it is hard for the homeless who have a mental disability to even apply for services; so they need help. If you are able to volunteer or donate to homeless programs, every thing helps. We are hoping that Obamacare can provide some additional health care options for the homeless especially in major cities that have the infrastructure to manage such programs; but the homeless have no funds to pay for even inexpensive insurance programs. And please note, we are not associated with any private insurance company or government agency.
